This much we know: Claude Mathis loves his players.
The running backs coach at SMU shared a special moment with sophomore Braedan West, after he caught a pass to help set up a game-winning score.
The former U.S. National Team assistant coach embraced West as he sat on the bench and spoke to him.
“You’ve got a lot of heart boy. I love you. I wouldn’t trade you for nothing in the world. Nothing," Mathis said, in a video published on the team's Twitter account.

Mathis served as an assistant coach for the U.S. National Team in both the 2013 and 2014 International Bowls.
