Quarterbacks must play the game with their eyes and pass the ball with their feet.
QBs use their eyes to gather the information needed to make the correct pass decision. Once this information is processed, the body responds simultaneously with the feet going where you need to go with the ball.
This is the essence of the quarterback position.

Aligning a stance arrow to the projected catching spot directs the QB’s shoulders toward the intended receiver. This framework opens the hips and allows the throwing motion to release the ball in a direct line to the target.
Stance arrow plus follow through equals accuracy.
Once the feet are properly positioned, your lead foot steps toward the direction of the target and your weight shifts smoothly.
As Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young said: “Put a camera on my feet, and I will tell you what kind of game I played.”
