The matchup between the U.S. Under-17 National Team and Team Japan at International Bowl VIII marked the first time that a Japanese national team journeyed to North America to play an American football game.

Although the game ended up as a lopsided 44-7 victory for the U.S., the real story was the demonstration of how the sport of football united people from different cultures and backgrounds.

“What is really cool about this event is happening right now in front of us. These kids from different countries shaking hands and really enjoying each other through a football game,” head coach Gabe Infante said afterward. “That is something they’ll remember forever.”

Still, the game had no shortage of highlights. Here are some top players from the game, along with where they can be found in the game video below:

  • 7:20 mark--Ray Brown 37-yard touchdown run
  • 17:17 mark--Sebastian Class 4-yard touchdown run
  • 27:50 mark--Christian Dremel 23-yard touchdown reception
  • 31:50--Sebastian Class 6-yard touchdown reception
