For the second time this spring, four Regional Development Camps took place around the country on the same weekend. Top middle school and high school football players flocked to Edison (N.J.), Lexington (Ky.), Little Rock (Ark.) and Atlanta to see where they stack up against other top players in the area. They also competed to take the next step in the journey toward earning a spot on the U.S. National Team.

Middle school Gold Ball winner:
Angelo Vokolos, LB, 2021, Sewell, N.J.
Boasting a bench press of more than 300 pounds, Vokolos physically was on a higher level than other middle school athletes last weekend. On top of his physical characteristics, he also was ahead of fellow defensive players from a mental perspective. The class of 2021 prospect has already been making the rounds visiting both Florida and Notre Dame this offseason. It's early, but Vokolos has already shown next-level ability.

Jayden Bellamy, DB, 2022, Freehold, N.J.
Brighton Easterling, DL, 2021, Scotch Plains, N.J.
Walter Quick Jr., WR, 2021, North Bergen, N.J.

Angel Arce, QB, 2022, Meridan, Conn.
High school Gold Ball winner:
Tyler Rudolph, DB, 2018, Sacred Heart (Waterbury, Conn.)
Rudolph is poised to be one of the top defensive backs in New England this fall, but he's also demonstrated explosive ability on offense. Last season, he scored six times in one game. Rudolph notched 83 receptions on the year for 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns. As his performance at the Edison Regional Development Camp suggests, his 2016 stats are a mere baseline for what he can accomplish in his upcoming senior season.

Middle school Gold Ball winner:
Isaiah Cohran, WR, 2021, Memphis, Tenn.
Cohran had a tremendous camp despite inclement weather. USA Football's first Regional Development Camp in Little Rock saw a number of talented athletes come out from several states, but Cohran's strength and speed was noticeably exceptional. Dependable hands and advanced route running made him a natural selection for the middle school Gold Ball.

Middle school Gold Ball winner:
Damon Owens, WR, 2021, Antioch, Tenn.
One of Tennessee's brightest middle school stars, Owens made the trip to Lexington and walked away with the Gold Ball. The 6-foot-2 wide out was a matchup nightmare at camp, proving to be too big and physical for defensive backs, while too fast for linebackers and safeties. An extremely polished athlete, he's also one of the top young basketball players in the country. The budding two-sport star has the potential for big things down the line.
Middle school top performers
Jacob Broughton, QB, 2021, London, Ky., #824
Diego Badallo, WR, 2020, Bloomfield Hills, Mich., #822
Caleb Clayton, DB, 2021, Hendersonville, Tenn., #915
Lavell Wright, RB, 2021, Louisville, Ky., #845
High school Gold Ball winner:
Tyrell Watkins, WR, 2020, DeSales (Louisville, Ky.)
Still only a high school freshman, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound Watkins certainly looks the part getting off the bus. As a sophomore, he should enjoy an expanded role in the DeSales offense, as the program looks to build on a successful 10-3 campaign in 2016.
High school top performers
Lendon Redwine, QB, 2019, Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, Tenn.)
Marquel Tinsley, WR, 2019, Daviess County (Owensboro, Ky.)

Middle school Gold Ball winner:
Jalen Wofford, QB, 2021, Locust Grove, Ga.
In an uber-talented middle school pool at USA Football's second and final stop in Atlanta this year, Wofford showed potentially just how special he might be. The signal caller made brilliant decisions all weekend and threw the deep ball with deadly accuracy. In the intermediate routes, he put the ball on the money as soon as the receiver broke in his route.

Dorian Graham II, RB, 2023, Fayetteville, Ga.
High school Gold Ball winner:
