Peyton Manning may not be strapping up his football uniform anytime soon, but that isn’t stopping him from becoming involved with the latest football equipment.

On Wednesday, Riddell, maker of helmets, shoulder pads, face masks and other accessories, announced the hiring of Manning as a strategic advisor.

His duties with the company will include “contributions in product development, community and charitable initiatives, internal programming, and special projects directed by Riddell executive leadership,” the Chicago-based company said in a press release.

The retired quarterback is looking forward to the new endeavor.

“Riddell is doing great work to educate the football community about new protective technology, the importance of proper equipment management, and coordinating initiatives that make new gear available to football programs in need. I’m appreciative of the opportunity to invest in the company and join #TeamRiddell to help reinforce the brand’s efforts in advancing the sport I love and believe in,” Manning said in the press release.
