When does high school football kick off in each state?

Football season is almost here. Training camps have started, two-a-days have begun, that means one thing. Friday nights under the lights is almost here (and already is here, in one state).

You probably know when your state begins playing its regular-season games. When do other states start? Check out our list below.

Aug. 4: Hawaii

Aug. 11: Alaska

Aug. 18 (12 states): Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Wisconsin

Aug. 25 (19 states): Alabama, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia

Aug. 31: Minnesota*

Sept. 1 (13 states): Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Vermont, Washington, Wyoming

Sept. 8 (four states): Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Rhode Island
