Great grab
With a catch that’d make New York Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr. smile, Jackson (Massillon, Ohio) receiver Jake Ryan snagged a remarkable TD pass from quarterback and UMass-commit Jaret Pallotta in their team’s 41-24 victory over GlenOak:

Recent Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee LaDainian Tomlinson returned to his Texas roots as Dallas-area powers DeSoto and Cedar Hill met in the inaugural Peanut Bowl, sponsored by the National Peanut Board.
Tomlinson talked about his memories of prep football at Waco University High School, where he ran for 39 TDs as a senior, and those who helped him become a Heisman Trophy finalist at TCU, a No. 5 NFL draft pick for the San Diego Chargers in 2001, and now a hall of famer.
“My high school running backs coach, Walter Brown, was the reason I could get to a Division I college. He took me by the hand and got me to go take the ACTs and SATs. I didn’t know how to do any of that," Tomlinson said. "All the teachers who took extra time with me to make sure I understood my lessons. My journey couldn’t have been any better with the people in my life. My mom taking me to practice and being there every day. It was truly amazing when you reflect on that.”
As for the game, behind 121 rushing yards and two TDs by Kelan Walker, DeSoto notched a 21-7 victory.
New all-time passing leader in Nevada
Liberty (Henderson, Nevada) four-year starting quarterback Kenyon Oblad threw for 284 yards in his team's 49-14 win over Green Valley, which gave him 10,313 career yards, to surpass the previous state record of 10,113 held by former Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) standout and current Baylor QB Anu Solomon.

“Coming into the season, it’s kind of a worry to beat the record because everyone is talking about it, hyping it up and stuff, so it’s good to beat it and be over with it, and now just keep playing football,” Oblad told the Las Vegas Sun.
