Following the Houston Astros' victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series, George Springer Jr. - the father of World Series MVP George Springer III - had some advice for parents of young athletes and for life.
In addition to his athletic exploits, Springer, who tied a World Series record with five home runs in the series, is an inspiration to those who, like him, have worked to overcome stuttering. As the national spokesman for the Stuttering Association for the Young, he hosts an annual bowling event to raise funds for any child who wants to attend the nonprofit's Camp SAY each summer.
