Washington Redskins’ Samaje Perine earns this week’s National Team alumni honors

Week 11 of the NFL season is complete. Let’s see how a few of the U.S. National Team alums fared, and which player earned this weekend’s NFL USA Football player of the Week, presented by Upper Deck.

Samaje Perine, Washington Redskins

2014 U-19 National Team member Samaje Perine earned this week's USA Football NFL Player of the Week.

Perine’s Washington Redskins fell to the New Orleans Saints Sunday,34-31 in overtime. 

Perine, a rookie with the Redskins, had 23 rushing attempts for 117 yards and one touchdown, along with one reception for nine yards.

The Redskins are currently 4-6 and will be back in action Thanksgiving Day against the New York Giants.

Jarvis Landry, Miami Dolphins

Landry played on the 2011 U-19 National Team. During Sunday’s game, the wide receiver caught six passes for 95 yards and one touchdown. 

The Dolphins lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-20, bringing them to 4-6. 

Todd Gurley, Los Angeles Rams

The Rams fell to the Minnesota Vikings 24-7 on Sunday, but Gurley collected 15 rushing attempts for 37 yards and one touchdown. Gurley also had three receptions for 19 yards.

Gurley was a member of the 2012 U-19 National Team.   

The Rams are currently 7-3 and still lead the NFC West. The Rams will match up against the NFC South-leading New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Corey Coleman, Cleveland Browns

Coleman played for the 2012 U-19 National Team, and during Sunday’s 19-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Coleman had six receptions for 80 yards in his first game since Week 2. He had missed the previous seven games with a broken hand.

The Browns will face AFC North foe Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
