Florida State woman leaves flag football watchers amazed

The most impressive touchdown run by a Florida State quarterback this season did not come from Jameis Winston.

Instead, check out Michelle Roque, a member of the Florida State Delta Gamma sorority and a former high school flag football star from Coconut Creek, Fla., who outmaneuvers a blitz then leaves her opponents grasping at air as she runs through, around and past diving opponents - much to the camerman's delight.

As MaxPreps.com noted, Florida joins Alaska, Washington, D.C., and parts of California, Michigan, Nevada, New York and Ohio in in recognizing girls flag football as a varsity sport. More than 7,000 high school girls earned letters in flag football during the 2013-14 school year.

NFL FLAG powered by USA Football works with school programs in 30 U.S. cities, helping more than 32,000 girls participate in middle school and high school flag football.
