While Shaquem Griffin stole most of the headlines at last weekend’s NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, he was far from the only former U.S. National Team player to impress onlookers.

In fact, were it not for Griffin, Stanford graduate Harrison Phillips, a 2014 National Team alum, likely would've generated most of the headlines. Phillips’ 42 reps at 225 pounds on the bench press topped all combine participants

Meanwhile, Northwestern’s Justin Jackson, another 2014 National Team competitor, ranked in the top 10 of all Combine participants in 60-yard shuttle (fifth) and 20-yard shuttle (ninth).

Phillips, along with Isaiah Wynn, a Georgia guard and fellow 2014 National Team member, are projected to be possible first-round picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, although Wynn couldn’t participate in workouts because he’s recovering from surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, which he sustained during the Senior Bowl. He still showed up so teams could take measurements and interview him.
