While Shaquem Griffin stole most of the headlines at last weekend’s NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, he was far from the only former U.S. National Team player to impress onlookers.
In fact, were it not for Griffin, Stanford graduate Harrison Phillips, a 2014 National Team alum, likely would've generated most of the headlines. Phillips’ 42 reps at 225 pounds on the bench press topped all combine participants.
.@horribleharry66 just blew up the bench press at the #NFLCombine. Harrison's 42 reps is the most by any player since 2012.

Meanwhile, Northwestern’s Justin Jackson, another 2014 National Team competitor, ranked in the top 10 of all Combine participants in 60-yard shuttle (fifth) and 20-yard shuttle (ninth).
Phillips, along with Isaiah Wynn, a Georgia guard and fellow 2014 National Team member, are projected to be possible first-round picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, although Wynn couldn’t participate in workouts because he’s recovering from surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, which he sustained during the Senior Bowl. He still showed up so teams could take measurements and interview him.
Here’s a look at the National Team alums who came to the Combine, and their current draft projections, according to NFL.com:

Didn't work out at Combine, still recovering from surgery to repair a torn labrum after the Senior Bowl.
What they’re saying:
*Checks* Yep, Isaiah Wynn is still a good player. Mugs No. 41 here. Playing with a proper base allows him to generate force while remaining balanced, giving him the ability to strain and drive the defender back. pic.twitter.com/7dkLMyEr2u

Not saying this because I'm a Northwestern alum (okay, yeah I am), but Justin Jackson's Combine numbers are pretty sweet: 4.52 40 (t-6th among RBs), vertical leap 38.5 (t-4th), broad jump 122.0 (t-5th). Could be a late-round steal!
