Now in its 23rd year, the Manning Passing Academy will host its inaugural MPA Football Clinic for Women and Girls on June 25-26 at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
The camp is open to women of all ages and girls in grades 8-12, with a one-night speaker’s clinic and one-day interactive camp. USA Football partner Riddell — for whom Peyton Manning is a brand ambassador — will be one of the camp's primary sponsors.
"This is a historic moment for both the MPA and for the women and girls who want to play, learn and coach the great game of football,” said Archie Manning, who along with sons Peyton, Eli and Cooper, are the namesake of the annual passing academy. "Our camp director brought the concept to our family from a conversation he had with two former National Football League female staff members. We love the progressive idea and said, ‘Why wait?’ and moved forward to set the date."

Instant replay approved for Alabama high school football

Josh Bean of AL.com reports the Alabama High School Athletic Association approved the use of instant replay for high school football starting this fall.
"The purpose of instant replay is to aid the officials in getting it right," AHSAA Executive Director Steve Savarese said.
DVsport — a company that specializes in instant replay, including in the Southeastern Conference — will provide equipment. Savarese didn't say how much the system will cost individual schools, but indicated it'll be minimal.
The system plugs into current video-recording devices, and officials will access the replay with a handheld tablet. Replay won't be mandated at all games, but many schools in larger classifications and affluent areas are expected to participate.

Jerry Palleschi of ESPN 99.1 in Sioux Falls says the institution of 6-man football for the 2019-20 school year passed in its initial reading with the South Dakota High School Activities Association.
Schools with 40 students or fewer would be eligible, and it would replace Class 9B. Games would be played on an 80-yard field, with all participants as eligible receivers.
