Today’s guest on the Coach and Coordinator podcast is Andy Kotelnicki, offensive coordinator at the University of Buffalo (N.Y.). Currently in his fifth season at Buffalo, Kotelnicki worked with the quarterbacks during his first two years with the Bulls before turning to the running backs two seasons ago. Offensively in 2017, Kotelnicki led Buffalo to a No. 2 ranking in the Mid-American Conference in yards per game and set a school record for total offense in a single season. Kotelnicki has coached three All-MAC players and helped quarterback Tyree Jackson set the school record for passing yards thrown by a freshman.
Prior to Buffalo, Kotelnicki coached at the NCAA Division III level for two years at Wisconsin-Whitewater, serving as their offensive coordinator. The two years Kotelnicki was there, Wisconsin-Whitewater went a combined 28-0. Kotelnicki also had offensive assistant coaching stints at D-II University of Mary (Bismarck, N.D.), his alma mater University of Wisconsin-River Falls and Western Illinois. Kotelnicki joins the podcast today to talk about different ways to distort the defense.
