Eidsness is in his first year at NIU after spending the previous seven seasons at South Dakota State as offensive coordinator and subsequently associate head coach. In 2018, the offense at SDU averaged a school-record 42.5 points and 480.5 yards per game to rank fifth and tenth in the nation, respectively.
