U.S. National Team alum Kevin Burke is taking his talents to Europe.
The 5-foot-11 quarterback, who helped the U.S. capture gold in the 2015 IFAF Men's World Championship, has signed a contract with the Vienna Vikings, an Austrian football team, according to Football Austria.
Burke has enjoyed success at every stop. As a high school senior, he led St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio) to a 15-0 record and a No. 2 national ranking after guiding his team to a state title-game victory over Wayne (Huber Heights, Ohio) and quarterback Braxton Miller.
In college, Burke’s winning ways continued. He led Mount Union to a Division III national title in 2012 and accounted for over 14,000 yards during his career.
Last July, Burke helped the U.S. National Team capture gold at the IFAF Men’s World Championship, held in Canton, Ohio. He was an All-Tournament Team selection.
Given Burke’s track record, don’t be surprised to see the Vienna Vikings back in the EuroBowl soon.
