Southeast Texas continues to feel the effects of Hurricane Harvey. As residents are being forced from their homes, the state is still facing heavy rain and rising waters.

The football community is banding together to do everything it can to help those in Harvey's path and are now asking for your help.

The Texas High School Coaches Education Foundation has asked to use this weekend's football games as an opportunity to collect donations for the Texas Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund

As an overwhelming amount of donations from across the country are being contributed, the NFL is reaching out to their fans to raise money for southeast Texas.

J.J. Watt is one of many players who have taken to social media to raise money.

The Houston Texans defensive end originally set his fundraising goal at $200,000. When donors quickly met that goal, Watt increased the goal, and he's now raised over $1.5 million for the Houston Flood Relief Fund

Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots have agreed to match $1 million in donations to the Hurricane Harvey RedCross Relief Fund.

The Texans and NFL Foundation have both pledged to donate $1 million the United Way of Greater Houston Flood Relief Fund.

Many teams and players from across the league continue to support and raise money for those affected.
