As is commonplace most NFL weekends, U.S. National Team alums made their presence known throughout the league. This weekend, however, a less familiar name stood out among his peers.
Washington Redskins cornerback Quinton Dunbar, who played on the 2010 U-19 National Team, earned this week’s National Team Alumni NFL Player of the Week distinction, presented by Upper Deck.

Dunbar, a third-year cornerback with the Redskins, collected eight tackles and a pair of pass deflections Sunday in Washington’s 26-24 home win over the San Francisco 49ers.
He’s played in every game for the Redskins this season, but earned his first start Sunday. His totals in Sunday’s win were easily season highs.
He’s tallied 14 tackles this season for the 3-2 Redskins, who return to action Monday night at NFC East rival Philadelphia.

Here's a glance at how other National Team alums fared.
Stephon Tuitt, Pittsburgh Steelers
Tuitt, the Steelers’ starting defensive end and a 2011 National Team alum, collected two tackles in Pittsburgh’s 19-13 win over previously unbeaten Kansas City. After missing a pair of games early in the season with a biceps injury, Tuitt has six tackles and a pass breakup in four games for the 4-2 Steelers, who host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Gurley (2012 National Team alum) produced his third 100-yard rushing game of the season Sunday, collecting 116 yards on 23 carries in the Rams’ 27-17 win at Jacksonville. He also caught a pass for four yards.
Gurley has 521 rushing yards so far this season, which ranks fourth in the NFL behind Kareem Hunt (Kansas City, 630 yards), Leonard Fournette (Jacksonville, 596 yards) and Le’Veon Bell (Pittsburgh, 550 yards).

Jameis Winston, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Montgomery isn’t the only National Team alum playing through injuries. Winston, a 2012 National Team alum, suffered an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder during Sunday’s 38-33 loss at Arizona. Winston left the game after completing 5 of 10 passes for 61 yards. As of now, he expects to play Sunday at Buffalo.
Winston has thrown for 1,259 yards with seven touchdowns and three interceptions so far for the Bucs (2-3), compiling a 91.0 quarterback rating.
