Stanford’s Harrison Phillips claims this week’s National Team Alumni Player of the Week

It was another exhilarating week in college football; let's see how U.S. National team alums fared this weekend.

Harrison Phillips, Stanford defensive tackle

Harrison, a defensive tackle, played on the 2014 U.S. Under-19 National Team and has earned U.S. National Team College Player of the Week.

During Stanford's 15-14 victory over Oregon State on Saturday, Harrison had five solo tackles and a total of nine tackles. Harrison recorded two tackles for a loss and had two fumble recoveries.

Harrison is also on the 2017 Outland Trophy Watch List.  The Outland Trophy Watch List includes selected tackles, guards, and centers from all 10 Division I FBS conferences; and has been named a Bednarik Award semifinalist for Defensive Player of the Year.

Alonzo Saxton II, Duke safety

Saxton played on the 2014 U-19 National Team.

During Saturday's game, Saxton had 10 tackles (four solos tackles and six assisted tackles).

However, Duke fell to ACC foe Virginia Teach, 24-3.

N'Keal Harry, Arizona State wide receiver

Harry was on the U-19 National Team in 2016.

Harry recorded three receptions for 86 yards on Saturday, including a 70-yard catch; however, the Arizona State Sun Devils were unable to defeat the USC Trojans and suffered a 48-17 loss.

Trey Udoffia, Colorado defensive back

Udoffia was on the U-19 National Team in 2016.

The Colorado Buffaloes defeated the California Golden Bears on Saturday, 44-28. 

Udoffia had nine solo tackles during Saturday's game.

DeAndre Pierce, Boise State cornerback

Pierce was on the U-19 National Team in 2016.

During Boise State's 41-14 victory over Utah State; Pierce collected nine total tackles (five solo tackles and four assisted tackles).

Matthew McCrane, Kansas State kicker

McCrane was on the U-19 National Team in 2013.

Saturday, Kansas State played in-state rival Kansas in the Sunflower Showdown. Kansas State was able to defeat Kansas, 30-20 to claim the Governor's Cup.

McCrane went 3-for-3 on the day, successfully converting field goals from 31, 36 and 41 yards in the win.

The College Football Playoff committee will announce their first top 25 rankings of the 2017 season on Tuesday night, and a few National Team alums and their teams are looking to clinch one of those spots.
