Dalton Risner is this week's featured USA Football National Team alumnus. Risner competed in the 2014 International Bowl for the U-19 team. Learn more about him below.

Q: Current college, year, and position?

A: "I am currently attending Kansas State University, in my fourth year here at school, graduating in December of 2017. I redshirted my first year, then started at center my redshirt freshman year and took my team to the Liberty Bowl against the University of Arkansas, then last year, my redshirt sophomore year I was elected team captain and moved to right tackle, where we went 9-4 and beat Texas A&M in the Texas Bowl. I am currently in my redshirt junior year and am still a team captain as well as a right tackle."

Q: Any plans after graduation?

A: "My plans after I graduate are to try my efforts in the NFL, and if that isn’t God's plan, I will have an all-paid-for degree from Kansas State to rely on. My dream job is to play in the NFL for 10-plus years and then become a high school football coach and run camps for small-town kids across America. Through those camps, I wish to instill a sense of belief in young individuals that they too can do anything they set their mind to. I have found a passion for being a leader and seeing others achieve their goals."

Q: Biggest achievement thus far in college football career?

A: "My biggest achievement thus far in my college football career is being a three-year starter and two-year captain so early on in my career. That is one thing I am so proud that I accomplished so early on in my career. Receiving first team All-Big 12 as a sophomore voted on by Big 12 coaches was also a huge accomplishment for me."

Q: Favorite memory from being on the U.S. National Team?

A: "My favorite memory from the U.S. National Team was being around all the other guys. At the time we didn’t know it, but we were building bonds that last a lifetime. I mean, how cool is it to stay in touch and be around so many great athletes headed all over the country? I loved eating together, I loved meeting new friends, I just loved the experience of being around such great athletes with the platform God provided us with."

Q: Anything else you want us to share?

A: "I want you guys to know at USA football, that I appreciate the invitation I got my senior year, the experience I had on the U.S. National football team is a memory I have held onto ever since. I appreciate the opportunity I got, and I will tell stories about that game and whole week for the rest of my life. To all you kids out there with a dream, go get it, and just because someone tells you no, or you can’t, doesn’t mean that it’s impossible.

"I live by a bible verse I put on my arm, Psalm 37:5. "Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him, and He will act." Leave it all out on the field every chance you get, and He will take care of the rest. To all you kids with talent and athleticism, full of opportunity, use those gifts to do good, be humble, be nice, make a positive impact on everyone you meet. Too many times, we overlook the blessings we receive and forget about how to utilize them to make an impact on others."
