NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision postseason takes shape, including over 100 U.S. National Team alums

On Sunday, 78 Football Bowl Subdivision teams, 138 U.S. National Team alums and two Football Championship Subdivision squads found out where they'll spend part of December or early January, as the full postseason field was announced. The headliner, of course, the College Football Playoff, filled by the top four teams in the final rankings:

The playoff will begin with the following New Year's Day semifinal contests: 

Rose Bowl: No. 2 Oklahoma vs. No. 3 Georgia, 5 p.m., ESPN

Sugar Bowl: No. 1 Clemson vs. No. 4 Alabama, 8:45 p.m., ESPN

The semifinal winners will meet in the National Championship in Atlanta Jan. 8 at 8 p.m.

The College Football Playoff selection committee also set four other bowl matchups:
