International Bowl to return to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for 2018

The ninth annual International Bowl Series, featuring 24 high school- and middle school-aged teams across eight nations on three continents, will return to Arlington, Texas, for the fourth consecutive year in January, USA Football announced today.

U.S. National Teams will compete against teams representing Canada, Japan, Mexico and the Nordic region, comprised of players and coaches from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. USA Football, a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee, manages U.S. National Teams for international competition.

All International Bowl games will be played at AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and college football’s Goodyear Cotton Bowl. Game days are Jan. 12, Jan. 17 and Jan. 19, each consisting of four games.

The International Bowl underscores Arlington’s standing as a global football destination and we’re honored to host its players, coaches and fans at our world-class AT&T Stadium.”

According to the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau, this past January’s 2017 International Bowl generated an economic impact of $3.1 million for the city, encompassing more than 7,000 hotel room nights for the event’s athletes, coaches and administrators. More than 275,000 fans across the world watched 2017 International Bowl games from AT&T Stadium in person, on TV and through webcasts.

U.S. National Team alumni include wide receiver Corey Coleman (Cleveland Browns), wide receiver Devin Funchess (Carolina Panthers), running back Todd Gurley (Los Angeles Rams), defensive back Tyrann Mathieu (Arizona Cardinals), offensive lineman Jack Mewhort (Indianapolis Colts), running back Samaje Perine (Washington Redskins), defensive end Stephon Tuitt (Pittsburgh Steelers) and quarterback Jameis Winston (Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

Approximately 70 countries across five continental federations possess a national federation dedicated solely to American football.
