Forty-nine high school student-athletes spanning 21 states have been selected for the 2018 U.S. Under-17 National Team, USA Football announced today.
The U.S. team will compete against the Under-17 British Columbia (Canada) Team on Jan. 19 at International Bowl IX at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and college football’s Good Year Cotton Bowl. Kickoff is at 4:30 p.m. Central Time (5:30 p.m. Eastern). The team will arrive in Arlington on Jan. 15.
International Bowl IX features 24 teams across eight nations on three continents. U.S. National Teams will compete against teams representing Canada, Japan, Mexico and the Nordic region, comprised of players and coaches from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. As a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee and the sport’s national governing body, USA Football manages U.S. National Teams for international competition.
