With Day 1 of International Bowl IX at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, now complete, there's been no shortage of reaction to the games — and the happenings that surrounded them — that took place Friday.
For those who missed Friday's games, the U.S. Under-14 Stars team defeated the U.S. U-14 Stripes in a 63-48 shootout, followed by the U.S. Under-17 Stars' 49-6 win over Football Ontario. UANL-Mexico defeated the U.S. U-18 Select team, 20-9, and the U.S. U-19 Select squad topped Team Nordic 48-13 in the nightcap.

U-19 Select quarterback Jeff Miller, who was named game MVP in the win over Team Nordic, shared his appreciation for Friday's experience:
For those who haven't attended a game at AT&T Stadium, its massive video board is currently the dominant feature. Imagine watching your child score a touchdown on that board (and field).
When your kid catches a pass for a TD @ATTStadium @usafootball @USNFT @AlPopsScouting it’s a pretty special moment. #15 #stripelife #EarnYourStars pic.twitter.com/04frruVmUc

The highlight of the day that didn't involve game action might have come at the end of the U-19 Select win. That team's coach, Adam Neugebauer, asked a life-changing question in front of the team:
Love is the air! Coach @neugs1288 is getting married! @HoyasFB #PowerofFootball #IB2018 pic.twitter.com/pNFBQ5nJZY

He got the answer he wanted. His bosses at Georgetown University, where he coaches, took notice.
Congrats Coach Neugebauer! https://t.co/WvSVZtwGgP
