Shaquem Griffin keeps making history, and his brother has been there every step of the way. That won’t change this fall.

Meanwhile, Wyatt Teller will join another U.S. National Team alum as fellow rookies with the Buffalo Bills, and Justin Jackson became the fifth and final National Team alum to be selected in this year's draft when the Los Angeles Chargers called his name in the seventh round.

Kamryn Pettway, also a 2014 National Team alum, wasn't drafted, but according to (Minneapolis) Star Tribune Vikings beat writer Ben Goessling, the Minnesota Vikings signed him as a free agent Saturday after the draft ended.

In all, 34 National Team alums have now been selected in the NFL Draft, dating back to 2012.

Teller, Griffin's teammate on the 2013 National Team and a Virginia Tech guard, was also taken in the fifth round. The Bills selected him as the 166th overall pick, one day after they took 2014 National Team alum Harrison Phillips in the third round.

Griffin’s twin brother, Shaquill, also a 2013 National Team player, just completed his rookie season with the Seahawks. The two were also teammates at the University of Central Florida and at Lakewood (Florida) High School.

Griffin is the first one-handed player to be drafted in the NFL in the modern era. He was born with amniotic band syndrome, a prenatal condition that renders a hand useless.

Despite that condition, he persevered, and played well enough at UCF to be named American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a junior in 2016, and Peach Bowl Defensive MVP last season in the Golden Knights’ 34-27 win over Auburn.

Griffin talked about what the moment would be like leading up to his selection:
