One day after the New England Patriots selected U.S. National Team alum Isaiah Wynn in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, one more former National Team player came off the board Friday night.
Stanford University graduate Harrison Phillips, who played on the 2014 U-19 National Team, went in the third round with the 96th overall pick to the Buffalo Bills.

Phillips, who was also a three-time state champion wrestler at Millard West (Nebraska) High School, topped all prospective NFL draftees when he bench-pressed 225 pounds 42 times at last month’s NFL Combine. Perhaps more importantly, he led the Cardinal with 103 tackles from his defensive tackle position last season, and was the only FBS defensive lineman with 100 or more.
.@horribleharry66 just blew up the bench press at the #NFLCombine. Harrison's 42 reps is the most by any player since 2012.

National Team alums Shaquem Griffin (Central Florida), Wyatt Teller (Virginia Tech), Justin Jackson (Northwestern) and Kamryn Pettway (Auburn) will hope to hear their names called. All appeared at the Combine.
While Griffin hasn’t been drafted yet, he has gained enough attention to earn a prominent endorsement deal, which he signed Friday.
