USA Today tells the story of Arizona Cardinals tight end Jermaine Gresham, who assisted a fellow airline passenger Wednesday.

Delilah Cassidy, an Arizona State University graduate, detailed it in a Twitter thread. Cassidy was surprised by a new $50 carry-on bag policy. When she tried to pay, her credit cards wouldn’t work since she'd just come back from Europe, and she was told she’d have to miss the flight. Then, a man walked up to pay the fee.

"I’m crying as I write this and as I board the flight," Cassidy posted. "This man was an angel. I stop him as he’s sitting in first class and try to give him my money but he just shook me off and told me to pay it forward."

Cassidy later realized it was Gresham, and got a photo with him.

A decade after a history-making game at Wrigley Field in Chicago, the Northwestern football program will return to the baseball landmark against Wisconsin on Nov. 7, 202o, the Chicago Tribune says.

Northwestern and in-state rival Illinois played at Wrigley in 2010, which drew a capacity crowd and an ESPN College GameDay broadcast. The 48-27 Illinois victory was the first football game played at Wrigley since the Chicago Bears’ final season there in 1970.

"It captured a national audience, and from the responses I’ve received, there truly was a bowl-like atmosphere," Northwestern Athletic Director Jim Phillips said.

Once homeless with his family, Ypsilanti High School defensive tackle Markus Bevier now has the opportunity to get a free education while playing the game he loves.

MLive.com reports Bevier received a full-ride offer from NCAA Division II Davenport University head coach Sparky McEwen during a recent visit to the Grand Rapids-based school.

"It is really a blessing," Bevier said. "I really wasn't supposed to be here. I was homeless a few times, moving from place to place, sometimes not knowing where my next meal will be coming from. Just to be secure and get a free education so I can get my family out of that situation is just a blessing."

Here, Bevier describes his journey:
