From now through kickoff at USA Football's 2018 National Conference at Pro Bowl, we will take a look at some of the notable speakers and sessions on the docket for one of the country’s largest gatherings of high school football coaches.

Name: Ben Hammer

Session, date, time: Developing the High School Offensive Lineman, 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27

His background: Hammer just completed his first season as head coach at Rock Island High School in Illinois. Standing at 6-foot-5, he often gets told that he looks and sounds like a coach – which is accurate. Previously at Biscoe East Montgomery High School (North Carolina), Hammer compiled a 22-5 over two years. In his off time, you can find him coaching either the U-15 or U-16 USA Football team, and he will serve as head coach of the U-14 Stars team in this year's International Bowl.

Prior to his coaching career, Hammer played college football at Illinois Wesleyan University, starting at every position on the offensive line his junior and senior years.
