USA Football National Conference Speaker Series: Mary and Terry Hyde

From now through kickoff at USA Football's 2018 National Conference at Pro Bowl, we will take a look at some of the notable speakers and sessions on the docket for one of the country’s largest gatherings of high school football coaches.

Names: Mary and Terry Hyde

Their background: In 1983, Terry and his wife, Mary, began Clark County Youth Football (CCYF) with about 65 athletes. Thirty-four years later, the league has grown to nearly 2,000 athletes, who participate in tackle football, flag football, and cheerleading. CCYF is the largest independent youth football league in the Northwest. In 2004, Terry received the award for “Outstanding Contribution to Amateur Football” from the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. In 2005, He was selected to serve on the USA Football coach’s development committee. This will be Terry’s 35th season of coaching football, as he is currently Head Coach at Evergreen High School in Vancouver, Washington. Today, Terry remains CCYF President and Mary runs the day-to-day operations as the leagues administrator. They have been married for 38 years; have three children and seven grandchildren.
