In this session, USA Football Senior Manager of Education and Training Andy Ryland teaches how to rush the quarterback and force a turnover with the strip sack, and how to maintain ideal football position while blocking.
1. Strip Sack Drill for Defensive Line with ShadowDrive & Shadowman Pro + QB Arms
Here, players use their hands to fight off a block with a pass rush technique. Once they arrive at the quarterback, the player keeps one arm on the target and uses the other to strip the ball.
2. Block & Competition Drill for Offensive Line, with ShadowDrive
In this drill, the coach stands in front of the player with the ShadowDrive, and provides resistance. The player must use good lineman technique with sunken hips and elbows in while driving the bag.
