One more U.S. National Team alum has worked his way onto an NFL roster.
Greer Martini, a linebacker who played collegiately at Notre Dame and was a member of the 2014 U-19 National Team, signed with the Green Bay Packers after attending their rookie minicamp last weekend, the team reported Monday.

Martini went undrafted, but recorded 190 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, an interception, two forced fumbles and a pass defensed during his time at Notre Dame. He started 17 of 50 games during his Notre Dame career.
As a senior, the 6-foot-3, 232-pounder from Woodberry Forest, Virginia, started seven games, collecting 75 tackles and two forced fumbles.

If Martini makes the team, he’ll join 2012 National Team alum Ty Montgomery on the Packers’ roster. Montgomery just completed his third season with the Packers.

Martini joins Isaiah Wynn (New England Patriots), Harrison Phillips (Buffalo Bills), Shaquem Griffin (Seattle Seahawks), Wyatt Teller (Buffalo Bills) and Justin Jackson (Los Angeles Chargers) as National Team alums who joined NFL teams this spring. Each of those five were selected in the NFL Draft.
